It rises in the southern part of the Amari Valley near Psiloritis and is about 6 km from the settlement of Platanos. This mountain mass stands out in the area thanks to its impressive, rocky geological relief. At its top, at an altitude of 716 m, the small chapel of the Holy Cross is built, which you can reach on foot, following a passable mountain path. The panoramic view from this point towards Psiloritis, Messara, and the South Cretan Sea will compensate you for the effort.
