The small church dedicated to Saint John the Theologian is located in the cave near the village of Kalogerou, hidden among the trees on a slope. It is a single-aisled arched church, which according to a surviving inscription was erected in 1347. A rich fresco decoration is preserved inside, where scenes from the life of Saint John the Theologian can be seen, such as the shipwreck, as well as also the honored saint to be depicted in the quadrant of the arch, in the representation of Deesis.
