Pan events

A celebration dedicated to Pan, the patron god of animal husbandry, who was worshiped in ancient times in the mountainous regions of Crete. The festival lasts three days and it has been held in recent years every summer in the cave of Pana in Plataniano Aori, where the god was worshiped with the aim of highlighting the cultural heritage of Amari. As part of the festival, there are musical events with traditional music, hikes and explorations in the cave of the ancient god, making cheese products using traditional methods and more.
