Amari Green Festival

It is being held every summer in Amari for the last few years and it has now become an institution. It is one of the largest festivals in Crete with a large participation, organized by the Municipality of Amari, the non-profit organisation of the Municipality of Amari and the Cultural Company Eidomen, while co-organizers are the Region of Crete, the Regional Unit of Rethymnon and the Chamber of Rethymnon.

It is dedicated to the Cretan tradition and its purpose is to preserve and highlight the cultural legacy of the place. Amari Green festival includes a wide range of cultural events and other activities such as concerts, theatre performances, dance performances, customs revivals, activities for children, science days, hikes and many more.
