Just outside the settlement of Fourfouras in the location of Livada, there is the Catholicon of an old nunnery, around which the ruins of the cells are visible today. The small single-aisled, vaulted church is dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin. In its interior, fragments of fresco decoration of high artistic value, which dates back to the end of the 14th and beginning of the 15th century, are preserved. Of the surviving frescoes, the Second Coming is of particular interest. Every year, on September 8, the day of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, a solemn Divine Liturgy is held in the manicured courtyard, under the cypress trees.
