A large modern Municipal Stadium is located near the Fourfouras Natural Park, at a distance of about 1 km northeast of the settlement. It owes its name to the great discus thrower and coach Michalis Marakis from Amari while athletics competitions are organized every August in his memory. The “Mihalis Marakis” Municipal Stadium is the seat of the only sports club in the area and it is named “AO Psiloritis”. The association was founded in 1980 and is mainly involved in football and athletics, where today, the young people and children of the area play sports.
