Within the small settlement of Elenes there is the church dedicated to Agios Nikolaos and Agia Eleni. The northern church was built and frescoed in the second half of the 13th or early 14th century. A significant part of the fresco decoration of the church was destroyed when the south side of the building was demolished in order to build the second aisle dedicated to St. Anna.
